Ukraine is actively seeking systems to counter ballistic threats while laying the foundations for the domestic manufacture of air defense equipment. The President described the move as a "strategic task" that will guarantee national security for decades to come.
Writing on social media, Zelenskyy said: "Virtually every day, at both the political and military levels, we are in communication with partners regarding air defense. We are looking for anti-ballistics."
The president emphasized that Ukraine is gradually moving towards the conditions required to establish joint production of air defense systems, including all necessary components, from the units themselves to the missiles.
"This is a serious strategic task for Ukraine — a real task that will guarantee protection for decades," the head of state stressed.
He further highlighted that Ukraine’s key security guarantees include the supply of armaments, the development of domestic manufacturing, the acquisition of production licences, and the establishment of a powerful industrial base.
