Ukraine is ready for negotiations with Russia in any format, but the aggressor state must take certain steps first.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy underscored this during his traditional evening address on Wednesday, April 30.
According to him, in order to seek a negotiated resolution to end the war, the Kremlin must decide to stop strikes on Ukraine and halt combat operations.
“We are ready for any format of talks. Russia must stop the strikes and the war,” Zelenskyy stated.
The President of Ukraine again emphasized the need for a full ceasefire — “unconditional and for a sufficient period — at least 30 days.”
