Zelenskyy says security agreement with US is 100% ready, signing awaited
Ukraine is awaiting a date from the United States for the signing of a bilateral agreement on security guarantees.

At a press conference in Vilnius on January 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a bilateral agreement with the United States on security guarantees for Ukraine is 100% ready.
He stressed that «specific security guarantees for Ukraine make it possible to determine a concrete date for the end of this war.»
«This is a war in Ukraine, and its end would also mean the end of a potential war in Europe. These would be security guarantees for Ukraine, which is part of the future European Union. For us, security guarantees mean bilateral security guarantees with the United States. The agreement is 100% ready. We are waiting for our partners to be ready, as well as for the date and place of signing, ” Zelenskyy said.
The agreement will then be sent for ratification to the US Congress and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
«The second security guarantee for Ukraine is European security guarantees. This includes the coalition of the willing and EU membership. These are economic security guarantees for Ukraine, ” the president added.
