President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the missiles represented the German share of the Patriot interceptors pledged during the most recent Ramstein meeting.
Zelenskyy made the statement on March 11.
«Indeed, at the latest Ramstein meeting partners agreed that we would receive roughly the number of Patriot missiles you mentioned — specifically PAC-3 — about 35, ” Zelenskyy said.
The delivery of the missiles is part of commitments made by Ukraine’s international partners to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities, particularly its air and missile defense.
The president also stressed that such support from partners is crucial for ensuring security and for effectively protecting Ukrainian airspace from threats.
