How Andrij Matiukha Supports Youth in Sports
Sports are, first and foremost, about character, teamwork, and self-belief. This is precisely the philosophy consistently implemented by Andrij Matiukha and his team. The foundation under his leadership tirelessly supports young Ukrainian athletes, helps develop children’s sports sections and educational programs, and creates conditions where talent can grow into real success.
Andrij Matiukha believes that small victories lay the foundation for a strong society.
How Athletes Learn to Save Lives: Andrij Matiukha’s Initiative
The ability to act in emergency situations, when every second counts, is a crucial skill in sports. That’s why the foundation led by Andrij Matiukha launched a large-scale educational program for the sports community.
In collaboration with FAST specialists, the foundation organized a series of first aid training sessions. Within a few months, over 200 participants completed the courses, including coaches, athletes, and representatives of ten national teams. By the end of the program, about 1,800 people are expected to take part.
The project initiated by the foundation under Andrij Matiukha is fostering a new culture of responsibility in sports. The program’s goal is to make sports safer. Accidents happen during training and competitions, so knowing how to provide first aid can be decisive.
Support That Makes the Path Easier for Athletes
The foundation led by Andrij Matiukha systematically helps young Ukrainian athletes reach the international stage. Beyond funding, the team assists with logistics, organizational matters, and provides media coverage and promotion.
Andrij Matiukha is convinced that potential does not grow in a vacuum; it must be nurtured with support, experience, and faith in the outcome.
“When we help young athletes, we are essentially investing in the country’s future,” says Andrij Matiukha.
Children’s Sports as a Priority for Andrij Matiukha
For Andrij Matiukha, developing children’s sports is a systemic effort. According to him, giving children the opportunity to train regularly and free of charge, especially where sports are less accessible, is a step toward a healthy and strong society.
The foundation headed by Andrij Matiukha opens free sports sections and clubs that operate on a permanent basis. This is done within the Superheroes Club initiative, launched as a subproject of the Favbet Kids program.
Thanks to this program, football and basketball sections have already opened at the Sport for All Physical Health Center in Kyiv, while future boxers and wrestlers train at the SpartaBox Club. All sections are free of charge, with expenses covered by the foundation led by Andrij Matiukha.
The foundation team pays special attention to children who have experienced relocation due to the war or grow up in military families, giving them priority enrollment in sections.
Training sessions take place regularly under the guidance of experienced mentors. They provide a valuable alternative to street leisure, a chance to spend time productively, make new friends, and gain emotional support.
Support That Children Can Feel: Tournaments, Training, and Equipment
Thanks to the foundation led by Andrij Matiukha, children’s tournaments are held, such as the “Winter Spartakiad” at SpartaBox Club, where kids compete, learn teamwork, maintain pace, and never give up.
But sports are only part of the story. The foundation also supports education. In 2023, over 5,500 schoolchildren received educational and sports kits. Additionally, 352 teenagers completed IT courses, opening new professional horizons for them.
Andrij Matiukha believes that a child’s development should be comprehensive. That’s why his team combines sports initiatives with educational projects, helping young people develop in a well-rounded way.

The results of this work are evident: over 5,000 schoolchildren have participated in educational and sports initiatives, and free sections have opened in Kyiv where children can train on a permanent basis.
