It is unrealistic to protect gas extraction in any way during strikes on energy infrastructure.
Such an opinion was expressed by People’s Deputy Serhiy Nahorniak, from the Servant of the People faction, on air with KYIV24.
«It is unrealistic to protect gas extraction in any way. Or gas processing, or gas transportation. These are all things that cannot be protected by anything except air defense. And it cannot cope with the number of air targets flying at Ukraine, ” he said.
Therefore, the winter will be quite tough. Possibly in some regions the situation will be slightly better, while elsewhere it will be very difficult, Nahorniak predicts.
«We understand why Putin is doing this. To bring Ukraine to potential negotiations, so that Ukrainians are ready to sign anything, just to end some inconveniences and the war, ” the MP explained.
