This night, the aggressor Russia launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine, which lasted nearly ten hours. The Russians launched 18 missiles and around 400 attack drones, of which nearly 200 were «Shaheds.»
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this.
«The main target of the attack was Kyiv and the surrounding region, with Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, and Kharkiv regions also hit. Regrettably, two people have been killed in Kyiv. My condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased. As of now, 16 people are reported injured,» the Head of State emphasized.
The President notes that the aggressor Russia is escalating its terror against Ukrainian cities with massive attacks. Therefore, it is necessary to «act faster with sanctions and pressure Russia so they feel the consequences of their terror.» Additionally, partners should accelerate investments «in weapons production and technology development.»
Zelenskyy announced upcoming talks with partners within the willing coalition today. Specifically, about additional funding for the production of interceptor drones and the supply of air defense systems.
«The tasks are absolutely clear. We must respond harshly to such Russian strikes. And that’s exactly how we will respond,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
