Russia sharply intensifies attacks in the South: Defense Forces identify most dangerous sector

Over the past week, the intensity of combat operations in southern Ukraine has noticeably escalated, with the most challenging situation currently unfolding in the Huliaipole direction, where Russian forces have stepped up assault operations.

This was stated by Vladyslav Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, during the national news telethon.

According to him, Russian occupying forces have consistently ramped up the number of attacks on the southern frontline over recent days.

«Looking back at this week, we can draw certain conclusions, and they show that almost every day the enemy increased the number of combat engagements in our southern sector. Over the past 24 hours, 52 combat clashes took place on the southern fronts,» Voloshyn stated.

He said that the situation remains most critical along the Huliaipole axis, where Russian forces persist with assaults in an attempt to reach their objectives before the end of spring.

Furthermore, according to Voloshyn, occupying forces have ramped up their use of guided aerial bombs and continue active assaults near Vozdvizhivka, Hulyaipilske, and Dobropillia.

The Southern Defense Forces stress that the Russian military maintains pressure across multiple frontline sectors simultaneously, combining ground assaults with the heavy deployment of air support to sustain its offensive operations.
