Russia strikes Naftogaz facility in western Ukraine: 15th attack this month

Strike on Naftogaz facility
On Tuesday, January 27, Russia struck a critical infrastructure site of the Naftogaz Group in western Ukraine. The hit caused a fire, Naftogaz said on Telegram.
«For safety reasons, to protect people and prevent environmental pollution, company specialists immediately stopped technological processes at the facility. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service are on site, ” said Serhii Koretsky, chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
This marks the 15th targeted attack on Naftogaz Group facilities since the start of the month.
«We are working under constant threat. Our priority remains the same — protecting people, reducing the consequences of attacks, and maintaining stable energy system operations, ” Naftogaz said.
