President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy debunked Russian propaganda claims about the occupation of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region, calling it yet another informational attack.
He made these remarks in his evening address on Thursday, July 31.
«There were Russian „leaks“ today, as you saw, about Chasiv Yar — this is Russian disinformation,» the President emphasized.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian fighters are defending all positions and countering every Russian attempt to advance in Donetsk, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
«It’s not easy, but this is a defense of the very right of Ukrainians to live. Every such direction is very important,» he said.
According to the President, the most challenging situation is currently in the Pokrovsk direction, but even there, the Defense Forces are holding their positions.
«Pokrovsk, Dobropillia — these are the areas with the highest intensity of fighting. And it’s important that our warriors are destroying Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups, small units that are constantly trying to break through into the city, constantly trying to gain a foothold there. This is the Russian tactic, and our response to it is the destruction of the occupiers,» he noted.
