Fierce fighting continues across the Sloviansk sector, where Russian troops are intensifying assaults along the entire stretch of the front, exploiting Ukraine’s manpower shortages to slip deeper into defended territory.
That’s according to analysts from DeepState.
What is happening near Sloviansk
According to reports from the ground, the area has become one of the most chaotic sections of the front line. With Ukrainian forces short on infantry, Russian troops are finding weak spots in the defenses, attempting to entrench on newly seized positions and creating critical threats for Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Analysts say Russian assault operations are underway simultaneously across several areas:
Riznykivka and Kalenykiv direction: Russian troops are trying to secure positions for a deeper push into Ukrainian defenses, creating a direct threat of outflanking Ukrainian positions near Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Zakitne and Ozerne area: heavy fighting for Zakitne is ongoing, while Russian advance groups have recently been spotted and eliminated inside Ozerne itself.
Nykyforivka — Fedorivka Druha — Pryvillia — Minkivka — Novomarkove — Markove line: constant Russian pressure is being reported across the entire sector.

Beyond infantry assaults, Ukrainian defenses are being severely strained by intense Russian air strikes and drone operations targeting frontline positions and disrupting supply routes.
«According to preliminary information, the Rubikon unit was supposed to deploy to this sector and has already been spotted operating there in isolated cases. However, soldiers say other Russian drone pilot units are also creating serious problems. As a result, Ukrainian forces are now scrambling to train their own drone pilots from whatever reinforcements they can gather in order to provide at least some form of resistance, ” the analysts said.
To counter the growing drone threat, Ukrainian command is urgently training additional UAV operators from newly arrived reinforcements. The situation in the sector remains dynamic and extremely tense.
