The next “Ramstein” meeting may take place in Ukraine: Who will be involved — Umerov responds
During today’s meeting in Brussels, discussions were held with the heads of all nine coalitions that are providing support to Ukraine.
Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov proposed holding the next meeting in the “Ramstein” format in Ukraine, involving representatives of Ukraine’s Defense Forces and defense-industrial complex.
He stated this during a press briefing following the “Ramstein” meeting held on Friday, April 11, in Brussels, according to "Ukrinform".
“I will propose holding their meeting in Ukraine so that colleagues from each coalition can come to Ukraine, communicate not only with us but also with representatives of the Security and Defense Forces, and involve our defense industry — this would be a new format,” Umerov said.
The Ukrainian minister reported that during the meeting in Brussels, discussions were held with the leaders of all nine coalitions that are providing support in the supply of weapons, military equipment, and ammunition. A new electronic warfare (EW) coalition was signed today.
According to Umerov, the focus of the current meeting was on the supply of air defense systems and interceptor missiles, as well as artillery, ammunition, armored vehicles, and the continuation of funding.
“Today we received 21 billion euros, and these are very substantial packages and significant support,” the head of the Ukrainian defense ministry said, expressing gratitude for the assistance.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during his speech at a meeting of the Ramstein Group, named the only way to force Russia to end the war.
