The situation at the front remains extremely tense, and in certain areas of the Donetsk region, it is taking on alarming trends. The military analyst suggests that in the coming months, the Defense Forces could be forced to withdraw from one of the key settlements.
This pessimistic blitz-forecast was published on Facebook by Kostiantyn Mashovets, an expert at the Center for Military and Political Studies.
According to the expert’s assessments, the critical moment for the city could arrive as early as mid-summer.
"I wish I were wrong, but it seems that during June–July, Ukraine will lose Kostiantynivka..." the analyst noted.
For now, Mashovets did not go into details or outline the specific tactical or strategic reasons for such a development. However, he assured his followers that a detailed breakdown of the situation in this area and the rationale behind his forecast would be published very soon. According to the expert, he will provide the detailed analysis in his upcoming review of the military map.
