This night, the Russians “launched against ordinary life” nearly 540 drones and more than 40 missiles. Civilian infrastructure was hit again — residential buildings and businesses. In particular, in Zaporizhzhia a high-rise building was struck. One person was killed.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“We saw the world’s reaction to the previous strike. But now, when Russia once again shows that it doesn’t care about words, we count on real actions. It is clear that the time allocated for preparing the leaders’ meeting, Moscow used to prepare new massive strikes,” the Head of State said.

Zelenskyy stresses that political statements will not stop the war, and instead real steps are needed. According to him, the only way now to reopen a window of opportunity for diplomacy is “tough tariffs against everyone who pumps the Russian army with money, and effective sanctions against Moscow itself — banking and energy.”

“We are waiting for actions from America, Europe, and the whole world,” the President added.

He also emphasized that this night air defense forces and emergency services were operating in other regions. The strike affected the Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv regions.
