Bomb attack on Kharkiv: two people killed, many injured (photos)

An investigative-operational group, forensic experts and bomb disposal technicians are working at the site of the attack.

On Friday, May 17, two people were killed as a result of two strikes by Russian guided aerial bombs on the city of Kharkiv. At least 19 people were injured.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Kharkiv region, publishing photos from the site of the shelling. The identities of the two deceased men are currently being established.

"Eighteen men and a 58-year-old woman sustained explosive injuries and shrapnel wounds of varying degrees of severity. Medics from the special police regiment are providing assistance at the scene. The injured have been taken to hospitals for medical care", the report states.

An investigative-operational group, forensic experts and bomb disposal technicians are working at the site of the attack. The investigators have opened a criminal proceeding under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for violations of the laws and customs of war.
