Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Hnatov, said that on the Pokrovsk front, the enemy continues to gather forces and prepare for further attacks. Over 100,000 Russian troops are now concentrated there, trying to boost their presence and challenge the city’s defense.
Andriy Hnatov said this in an interview with LIGA.net.
«These attempts have been ongoing for over a year, and the Russians are shifting the deadlines they set for capturing the city. These deadlines will continue to be postponed. They are now moving all available reserves there, and it is hard to predict whether they will manage to make the situation even more difficult, ” Hnatov said.
He added that Ukraine has been systematically countering enemy attempts since the full-scale invasion in 2022 and even earlier during the ATO/JFO. Despite gloomy claims that «all is lost, ” the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to carry out missions, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy and slowing its advance.
«Things aren’t perfect, but we are giving our all to fulfill the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, ” the Chief of the General Staff said.
