Putin is intimidating not only Ukraine with «Oreshnik»: who are these threats aimed at?
If the Russian army had the capability to use the «Oreshnik,» they would have done so, military expert Oleksiy Hetman believes.

Russia’s intimidation of the world, including with nuclear weapons, is forcing U.S. President Donald Trump to respond, as it concerns the citizens of his country.
This was stated by Oleksiy Hetman, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war and a major in the National Guard reserve, on the air of Radio NV.
«In 99% of Russian rhetoric, it’s a bluff, but they are starting to scare U.S. citizens as well, showing that they are not „safe at home.“ This forces Trump to take a stance that more aid should be given to Ukraine to weaken Russia and strengthen his own country’s security,» he said, commenting on Trump’s response to threats by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev about the potential use of nuclear weapons. Trump mentioned moving two submarines closer to Russia’s borders.
The expert notes that one of Russia’s bluffs is the alleged Russian ballistic missile «Oreshnik.» He considers these claims empty, as Russians are trying to find excuses for why they haven’t defeated Ukraine.
«If it weren’t for China’s help, Russia would have collapsed long ago, along with all their capabilities on the front line. Only the lazy don’t talk about this, and only the foolish don’t see it. Russians today are heavily dependent on North Korea and China. Talk about them having superweapons is just a continuation of their pressure. Trying to intimidate us is laughable,» the veteran emphasized.
Hetman is skeptical about U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement regarding the movement of two submarines closer to Russia’s borders.
«Moving two submarines closer to Russia? Maybe to Kamchatka? This is the pinnacle of U.S. strategy, as Trump is heavily influenced by senators, congressmen, and U.S. citizens. He can’t do whatever he wants, because even Putin has to pay attention to people who might go crazy and take to the streets,» the veteran noted.
