Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Rustem Umerov, announced the main results of the Contact Group meeting in the "Ramstein" format, which took place on Friday, September 6, in Frankfurt, Germany.

He shared the updates on his Facebook page.

Assistance from allies

The Defense Minister listed the military aid Ukraine will receive from partner countries:

USA

The United States announced an additional $250 million military aid package for Ukraine. It will include critical weapons and equipment, M2 Bradley fighting vehicles, and HIMARS missiles.

Canada

Canada will provide a large batch of engines for unguided aviation missiles and 1,300 warheads, significantly enhancing Ukraine's air operation capabilities. The package also includes thousands of machine guns and pistols, military equipment and 50 ambulances to provide battlefield medical needs.
Additionally, Canada will play a key role in training Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16s as part of the "FLIT" program. The Canadian government will allocate $389 million for a five-year training program for pilots and technical staff.

United Kingdom

The UK will send 650 light multi-purpose missiles (LMM) worth £162 million, significantly strengthening Ukraine's air defense capabilities.

Netherlands

The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with air-to-air missiles and support materials for F-16 aircraft, valued at €80 million. This will greatly enhance Ukraine’s air force capabilities.

Sweden

Sweden has joined the demining coalition by signing a Memorandum of Understanding and committing €5 million to the coalition fund to support demining efforts.

Spain

Spain will send a HAWK air defense missile system, including six launchers.

Maritime Coalition

Another key outcome of the meeting, according to Umerov, was the signing of the Maritime Capabilities Coalition Statute.
“I am grateful to the UK and Norway for their leadership in the Coalition. We look forward to other partner countries joining,” the minister noted.

According to Umerov, working within the framework of the Maritime Capabilities Coalition will provide long-term support for Ukraine in ensuring security in the Black Sea.

“This year, Ukraine is placing special emphasis on “maritime defense.” We have already pushed back Russian ships from the coast of Crimea. Together with our allies, we are implementing the “Maritime Security Strategy,” Umerov stressed.

Joint weapon production

Rustem Umerov highlighted significant interest from Ukraine’s partners in investing, financing and cooperating to enhance Ukraine's defense industry.

“We are actively communicating with several countries about opportunities for financing Ukrainian weapons, missiles and drones. This opens new opportunities for joint development of defense potential, and most importantly — strengthens our front. Ukrainian long-range drones are already proving their effectiveness, as noted by our allies,” the Defense Minister emphasized.
