Russia continues its attacks along the entire front line, with Russian assault operations ongoing.
In his evening video address on May 21, President Zelenskyy highlighted the «hottest» areas of the front.
The Head of State received a briefing from Ukraine’s Defense Minister Umerov and military commanders regarding the front.
According to Zelenskyy, the most intense situation is in Donetsk region, particularly on the Pokrovsk front.
«We continue active operations in Kursk and Belgorod regions — this protects Sumy region, this protects Kharkiv region, an active and effective defense. The more combat operations are brought to the enemy’s territory, the safer it is for our communities,» the President said.
He also noted that since the start of the Kursk operation in August, the Russian army has suffered significant losses — over 63,000 killed and wounded in that direction alone.
