Denise Brown, Coordinator of Humanitarian Issues in Ukraine, made a statement regarding the drone strike that destroyed the Caritas-Spes warehouse in Lviv.

A UAV strike on a warehouse in Lviv destroyed 300 tons of humanitarian aid. It happened on the night of September 19. The attack resulted in the destruction of the warehouse facility where the charitable organization “Caritas-Spes” had its storage. According to preliminary information, 18 drones were heading towards the region.

This statement was made by the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine, Denis Brown.

Brown condemned the Russian attack on Lviv, as a result of which a humanitarian warehouse with 300 tons of aid burned to the ground.

"I strongly condemn the Russian strike that this morning destroyed the warehouse of the non-governmental organization “Caritas-Spes” in Lviv, in western Ukraine. This important humanitarian facility, containing approximately 300 tons of humanitarian aid, was completely burnt down," stated Brown.

She emphasized that over the past year, strikes on humanitarian facilities have intensified, affecting those who are already suffering from the terrible consequences of the war.

According to Brown, humanitarian workers, institutions and assets are protected by international humanitarian law, and strikes against them are strictly prohibited.

Let's add that one person was killed in the "Shahed” attack on Lviv. Two more people were injured. One of them was hospitalized.
