Three rescuers were killed in Kyiv while responding to the aftermath of a Russian drone attack. The tragedy occurred in the Solomianskyi district of the capital.

As the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) told TSN.ua, during the response to the airstrike in the Solomianskyi district, there was a repeated drone attack involving Shaheds.

“The rescuers were working on eliminating the aftermath of a Russian airstrike on a civilian infrastructure facility in the Solomianskyi district. During their work, a second strike occurred. Thirteen rescuers were affected. Three of them died,” the SES press service told TSN.ua.

Among the injured are SES spokesman Pavlo Petrov and Kyiv press officer Inna Zhelchyk.

“Pavlo is currently undergoing surgery. His phone and camera were destroyed — I have them with me now. A very sad Journalist’s Day. The two people in the most critical condition are Inna Zhelchyk and the press service’s driver,” Svitlana Vodolaha, Head of the SES press service, said to TSN.ua.

Vodolaha added that in Ternopil, five more rescuers were injured while responding to the aftermath of another Russian strike.

This means that during the night of June 6, a total of 18 rescuers were injured in Russian attacks.
