Russia presented cynical conditions during the Istanbul negotiations, demonstrating that it has no plans to abandon its aggressive goals toward Ukraine.

This was stated by political consultant and Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Oleksandr Antonyuk in a comment to 24 Kanal.

In his view, the dialogue in Turkey was merely an attempt to distract the international community and create an illusion of concessions.

“The Kremlin is not abandoning its strategic plans. Negotiations are just a facade, a tool for manipulation and aggressive policy. They are definitely not about acknowledging guilt or crimes,” Antonyuk emphasized.

He stresses that the Kremlin does not take responsibility for the crimes committed and continues to ignore the issue of punishment.

“The biggest problem is that the topic of reparations and accountability for war crimes has been sidelined. This is unpunished, uncondemned evil,” the serviceman noted.

Antonyuk also points out that Russia’s current aggression is setting precedents in other regions of the world. In particular, the participation of North Korean troops in combat operations alongside Russia poses a potential threat to South Korea and contributes to destabilization in the Pacific region.

“This is no longer just a war in Europe,” the expert added. “It is the creation of a new global crisis supported by authoritarian regimes.”
