More than 30 countries forming the so-called «coalition of the willing» already understand their potential roles in ensuring Ukraine’s security, but practical implementation of this format is possible only after a ceasefire.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy while commenting on discussions about international forces for Ukraine.

According to him, the countries agreed not to make the relevant document public.

«There are more than 30 countries in the „coalition of the willing,“ and each country already mostly knows its role, the level of support it can provide, and who is ready to deploy forces in Ukraine, ” the president noted.

He stressed that all coalition members agreed not to disclose details, as these concern security guarantees that will come into effect only once hostilities have ceased.

«We agreed among ourselves not to circulate this document because the „coalition of the willing“ decided it will provide security guarantees to Ukraine only after a ceasefire. This was a collective decision, ” Zelenskyy said.

The head of state also pointed out that the ability of different countries to participate depends on their constitutional limits and national laws.

«Each country has different statuses under its constitution, so they can provide different types of support, ” he added.

Zelenskyy said that France and the United Kingdom are currently leading efforts within this framework and have prepared a joint security support plan.

«They drew up this plan, but many countries are truly ready to assist. It’s all about security — on land, in the air, and at sea, ” he stressed.

He added that certain countries have already committed to providing support on the ground, in the air, and at sea, though the specific arrangements will only become clear after a ceasefire.
