Steve Witkoff, US President’s special envoy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov held a phone conversation with US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff. The parties are coordinating further contacts and next steps.
Umerov said this online.
Umerov spoke with Witkoff while en route to Ukraine. Zelenskyy also joined the talks.
“The key point is coordinating further contacts and next steps. Work is intensive and substantive: consultations and document review continue almost daily,” the NSDC secretary said.
He added that he remains in constant contact with European national security advisers. Agreements on upcoming contacts are in place for the near future.
“Thank you, President Donald Trump, for the high intensity of work by the American team,” Umerov added.
