Trilateral talks on ending the war in Ukraine are set for another round.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening address.

He stressed Ukraine will be fully prepared to discuss all issues at the next trilateral meeting, currently planned for Sunday, February 1.

«Regarding steps to end the war and actual control and monitoring, there are issues that must be prepared for the next meeting. We previously discussed that the teams would meet again on Sunday. It would be good if we could bring this meeting forward, ” Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that Ukraine always stands on the side of peace, and that the responsibility for the continuation of the war lies with Russia. «Ukraine will be fully prepared on all matters to be discussed and agreed. Ukraine is and will always be on the side of peace. And the only one through whom this war continues is Russia, ” he said.

Zelenskyy also highlighted the importance of tangible diplomatic results and effective pressure on the aggressor. «Real results of diplomacy are needed so that it does not appear that the Russians are using the negotiation process with a very cynical, harsh purpose, delaying new measures of pressure on Russia that could work. Pressure is needed. The effects, the results of sanctions, the results of blocking Russian operations — all of this works toward ending the war.»

The president thanked international partners for supporting Ukraine: «It is important that partners do not forget this. I thank everyone who is with Ukraine. I thank everyone who helps us.»
