Ukrainian military specialists will join a meeting in London where the UK and France will discuss a joint mission to unblock the Strait of Hormuz, specifically focusing on mine clearance after the conflict ends.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this while responding to questions from TSN.

«Britain and France asked for a continuation of the conference they organized a few days ago at the military level, where we can help… We sent our military to this meeting in London. Let’s see what comes of it,» he stated.

The Ukrainian president stressed that Ukraine can share its unique experience with Western partners.

«We faced major, serious challenges in the Black Sea, and we unblocked the corridor there. We have the experience and expertise — we will share it. As for the next steps, I cannot say yet,» he said.

Zelenskyy recalled that Ukraine has already sent expert groups to Middle Eastern countries, where partners were highly satisfied with the cooperation.

«We have signed „drone deals“ with several countries and are in negotiations with others. I am confident that more agreements will be reached soon. This represents a major opportunity for Ukraine and our defense industry,» he stressed.

The President added that Ukrainian specialists in the Middle East have worked on protecting «civilian infrastructure, civilians, and certain bases of our partners, such as the UK and the US.»
