President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has strongly responded to claims by Donald Trump that it is Ukraine, rather than Russia, is dragging out efforts to reach a peace deal.

The Ukrainian President made the remarks in his regular evening video address on January 15.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine had never been and would never be an obstacle to peace, adding that it is Russian missiles, «Shaheds, ” and attempts to destroy Ukraine that are clear evidence that it is not agreements at all that Putin is seeking.

«When Ukrainians are left without power for 20–30 hours because of Russia, and when Russian strikes are aimed at breaking our energy system and our people, it is Russia that must be put under pressure,» the president stressed.
