Despite the desire to look forward to the warmer season, this Thursday Ukraine will experience cold weather with strong winds and snow in some places. However, meteorologists promise that the situation will soon begin to change and the air will become noticeably warmer.

This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko on Telegram.

According to her, the coldest night will be in the north of the country, in some places in the central regions, and in the south, reaching Odesa region. The temperature is expected to be minus nine to minus twelve degrees. In the rest of Ukraine, thermometers will show minus four to minus nine degrees, and in the south and Transcarpathia, it will be near zero.

Didenko said that in the afternoon of February 19, the maximum air temperature in Ukraine will be minus two to five degrees. In the north of the country, in some places, the temperature may drop to minus seven degrees. In the southern part of Ukraine, in the southwest and southeast, one degree of frost to three degrees of heat is expected. In Crimea, the thermometer will rise to +4…+7 degrees.

According to the weather forecast, strong winds with gusts of gale force are expected in the south, east and some central regions, so forecasters advise to be especially careful.

She said that the cyclone, which is still bringing snow and sleet with slush and blizzards, will leave the territory of Ukraine tomorrow afternoon. Next night, precipitation will linger only on the Left Bank, and on the afternoon of February 19, precipitation is practically not expected throughout the country. Only in the east and northeast is light snow possible, which will also stop in the evening.

Snow is expected to fall in Kyiv at night, and it will be dry during the day on February 19. The wind from the northwest will be gusty and uncomfortable. The temperature will be minus ten degrees at night and will drop to minus five during the day. Ice remains on the roads of the capital, so drivers should be careful.

didenko noted that starting from February 23, Ukraine is expected to experience a noticeable warming. Warmer weather will bring more comfortable conditions for movement and recreation, and the current frosts will no longer be noticeable.

Earlier, we wrote that on February 18, the weather in Ukraine will be dictated by a southern cyclone. Due to it, precipitation is expected in the southern, eastern and most central regions, mostly moderate snow and rain.
