The situation around Pokrovsk remains extremely difficult. Russian troops push hard, seeking to claw back the initiative on both the northern and southern flanks.

On the Dobropillia axis, Russian assault operations continue every day. Enemy personnel are being eliminated on a staggering scale: between 60 and 80 soldiers can be killed in a single day. Yet this does not stop them.

This was reported by Yevhen «Skif» Oropai, Head of the UAV control post of the Rubizh Battalion of the National Guard’s 4th Rapid Response Brigade, speaking on Ranok.LIVE.

Losses are being sustained on both sides

National Guard and Ukrainian Armed Forces units are containing the assaults on the Pokrovsk line, eliminating significant enemy forces.

«We also have some losses, and the enemy’s are heavy. Over the course of a day, during their attacks, the Russians inevitably lose three to eight troops in a single assault, ” he said.

Yet the officer stresses that even after heavy enemy losses, the assaults on Ukrainian positions continue.

«I don’t want Ukrainians to think we are pushing back without taking losses. We’re undermanned and struggling with recruitment and heavy equipment. There are issues with strike and reconnaissance UAVs, ” Oropai admitted.

The situation is further complicated by China’s ban on equipment imports, which has caused shortages of drone components.
