Russian occupying forces that broke into the village of Hrabovske in Ukraine’s Sumy region pushed through the Ukrainian defensive line at a single point.

This was reported by Head of the Communications Department of the Joint Forces Grouping, Viktor Trehubov, speaking on the We — Ukraine television channel.

According to him, around 100 Russian troops were involved in the border breach.

Trehubov stressed that the distance from the Ukrainian village to the Russian border is approximately one kilometre. Such a walking distance allows the occupiers to maintain established logistics with Russian territory.

He also noted that the occupiers are not attempting to cut off the logistics of Ukrainian forces.

«This is pressure at one specific point directly along the line of contact. There is no need to cut our logistics here, because they are not trying to carry out encirclement manoeuvres — they are simply pushing through, ” Trehubov explained.
