The agreement on subsoil resources was backed by 338 deputies. The text of the ratification law will soon be sent from the Verkhovna Rada to the President’s Office. After the legal procedures are completed, the establishment of a fund can begin, Zelenskyy stated.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the minerals deal with the United States «promising» and, from an economic standpoint, unprecedented in the history of U.S.-Ukraine relations.
He said this in his address on May 8.
«I’m grateful to everyone on our team who prepared the economic partnership agreement with the United States, and to everyone who supported it. I thank all 338 deputies who voted for the agreement. I expect the text of the ratification law will soon arrive at my Office from the Verkhovna Rada, ” the President said.
According to him, once the legal procedures are finalized, the creation of an investment fund will begin.
«Such a promising economic deal between Ukraine and America has never existed. This is a joint investment effort with the U.S. for decades to come, ” he added.
At present, according to the President, this forms a strong foundation for security cooperation, and in the coming decades it presents an opportunity for Ukraine and America to expand mutually beneficial economic collaboration, develop industry in both countries, create jobs, and foster technological growth.
«As we agreed with President Trump, the agreement opens a new chapter in relations between Ukraine and the United States, ” Zelenskyy said.
