Ukraine has fully formulated its stance regarding a future deal with the United States on mineral resources and has prepared its own vision for the document’s text.
This was stated by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha in a comment to "Ukrinform".
“On the Ukrainian side, we will finalize the composition of the negotiating team, which will soon travel to Washington for detailed discussions on the text of the agreement proposed by the American side. We have already developed our position and our vision for the text of the future agreement,” the head of the Foreign Ministry noted.
He emphasized that the agreement must be mutually beneficial and take into account the interests of both states, while not undermining Ukraine’s European integration path.
“This is one of the principled positions for the Ukrainian side,” Sybiha added.
He also confirmed that a leading international company will be selected for legal support during the negotiations, and a representative of the Foreign Ministry will be included in the delegation.
