Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal made the remarks during a parliamentary question session with the government.

«There is not a single power plant left in Ukraine that has not been attacked by the enemy, ” he said.

Overall, the energy situation is most difficult in Kyiv, Odesa region and frontline communities.

Earlier, on the night of 13 December, Odesa and the surrounding region experienced one of the most powerful air attacks since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Russian forces struck using drones, two Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missiles and five Iskander-M ballistic missiles. The target was once again industrial and energy infrastructure. Residential buildings, an administrative building, civilian vehicles and a fire engine were also damaged. Odesa was left without electricity, water and heating.

The situation in Kyiv is also severe. People have been without electricity and heating for nearly a week. A separate task force will be established in Kyiv to coordinate repair work and maintain stable electricity and heat supplies.
