Ukraine is negotiating with European partners to form a modern anti-ballistic defense system, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during the national telethon.
According to him, the already reached agreements on the supply of missiles for Patriot systems are an important step, but their real effect will be felt only after production is scaled up. Although partners have already received the relevant licenses, this does not solve the air defense shortage in the short term.
«This is a massive package, but it still needs to be delivered. It’s a tough task, but we must push ahead,» the president added.
Concurrently, Ukraine is working on its own solutions. Specifically, this involves the development of a national anti-ballistic system designed to reduce dependence on external arms supplies.
