There is false information circulating online about an accident involving power transformers at the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant, which allegedly led to the shutdown of nuclear power units. However, this is a lie.
This was reported by the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security.
"Once again, Russian disinformation campaigns suggest potential problems with American nuclear fuel from Westinghouse at Ukrainian nuclear power plants."
Based on information from "Energoatom," the Center reports:
Ukraine's nuclear power plants, including the South Ukraine NPP, are operating without technical issues and in normal mode;
The personnel at the NPP ensure the reliable operation of the facilities;
The radiation levels at the plant are within normal limits;
American Westinghouse fuel is successfully used at nuclear power plants and has proven itself excellently in all parameters.
