President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that dictator Putin feels impunity and, even after all the horrific Russian strikes, is allegedly preparing more «responses.»
The Head of State wrote this on social media following Trump’s report of a conversation with Putin, in which the Kremlin dictator threatened Ukraine with new strikes.
Zelenskyy recalled that since the beginning of this year, in less than six months, the Russian army has struck Ukraine using nearly 27,700 aerial bombs, almost 11,200 Shahed drones, and nearly 9,000 other types of attack drones, as well as more than 700 missiles, including ballistic ones.
He emphasized that Russia has restructured its state, society, and economy to enable the mass and unpunished killing of Ukrainians.
«Many have spoken with Russia at various levels. No conversations have led not only to a reliable peace but even to a halt in the war. Unfortunately, Putin feels impunity and, even after all the horrific Russian strikes, is allegedly preparing more „responses, ” Zelenskyy said, hinting at today’s conversation between Trump and Putin.
In Zelenskyy’s view, with each new strike, Russia «shows the middle finger to the whole world.»
«Yet it is Russia that should be seeking peace. They, in Moscow, should feel that war has its price — a high price, and the highest for the aggressor. If the world reacts weakly to Putin’s threats, he perceives it as the world’s readiness to turn a blind eye to his actions. When he doesn’t feel strength and pressure but senses weakness, he always commits new crimes, ” the Head of State explained.
He stresses that the absence of pressure is perceived by Russia as tacit permission for new strikes.
«And today, on the Day of Remembrance for Ukrainian children killed due to Russian aggression, we remind the powerful of this world of the facts. And if the strong do not stop Putin, it means they share responsibility with him. And if they want to but cannot stop him, Putin will no longer consider them strong, ” the Head of State concluded.
