A Russian army drone strike on an industrial infrastructure facility in the city of Zaporizhzhia killed at least one person on the afternoon of May 15.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, confirmed the attack.

The strike triggered a massive fire, blanketing the city in thick black smoke.
«The enemy attacked the regional capital, damaging a fuel and lubricants storage tank,» the official stated.

Strike on Zaporizhzhia: Casualty update

According to the regional administration, the strike on the industrial site killed one person and injured three men, aged 54, 60, and 63.

«All three suffered blast injuries and are in critical condition. They are currently under constant medical supervision,» Fedorov said.

Attacks across the Zaporizhzhia region

Early on the morning of May 15, Russian forces targeted Vilniansk, hitting a transport infrastructure facility with a drone. Authorities reported two people injured.

State rail operator Ukrzaliznytsia later confirmed that Russian forces had struck a commuter train, with the hit landing near one of the carriages. The company says that the locomotive crew reacted instantly to the air raid alert from their monitoring center, halting the train and evacuating passengers to safety.
