The Kremlin claims that the "disagreements" between Russia and Ukraine regarding the territorial issue amount to "just a few kilometers."

On Sunday, April 12, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary to the Russian president, made the statement.
"It really is just a matter of a few kilometers," he said in an interview with Russian propagandists.
He cynically added that the Russian army "only" needs to seize approximately 18% of Ukraine’s Donetsk region to reach its administrative borders.

Putin's spokesman noted that after the Easter truce, the "special military operation" will continue until "the goals are achieved."

According to him, the position of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is allegedly preventing a lasting peace.

"Until Zelenskyy finds the courage to take responsibility for his decisions, the special operation will continue," Peskov insolently stated.

Earlier, the Kremlin cynically stated that the end of the war in Ukraine is impossible without "security guarantees" for the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the aggressor state, Sergey Lavrov, noting that "the prospect of a political and diplomatic settlement is on the horizon."
