During the shelling of Korosten in the Zhytomyr region on the night of March 6, a 300-kilogram bomb was dropped on the city, which did not explode.

The mayor of Korosten Volodymyr Moskalenko said this on Sunday, March 6, live on the joint information marathon "United News" on Ukrainian TV channels.

According to him, the shelling of the private sector in the city occurred at about 2 am.

"We have now relocated people from that neighborhood, and pyrotechnics are working to neutralize, pick it up and take it out," he said.

We will remind that in Zhytomyr itself the night passed quietly, but the region suffered from the enemy. Ovruch and Korosten were bombed. Korosten suffered the most. After that, one civilian was killed and four others were injured. Among the injured is a small child under three years old. The baby is in severe condition. Fortunately, 5 more children were rescued from the basement by rescuers. 10 houses in this quarter were destroyed.
