In Kharkiv, Russian Artillery Hit a High-Rise Building: A Woman Killed

60 persons that were hiding in the basement were not hurt.

In Kharkiv, the enemy viciously assaults residential areas. A shell hit a 9-story building; a woman was killed and about two dozen persons were evacuated, State Emergency Service reports.

“On the 26th of February at 9:20PM an emergency call came saying that as the result of an enemy shell hitting the 9-story residential building at 40A Buchmy Street, Kharkiv, destruction of structural wall of the stairwell and flights of stairs from the 2nd to the 7th story; also, structures of apartments on the 4th, 5th, and 6th stories were damages,” the Service reported.

Rescuers evacuated nearly 20 persons from the damages part of the building. “Unfortunately, because of the destruction of structural elements of the building, an elderly woman that lived in an apartment on the 5th story. Around 60 persons were also hiding from shelling in the basement. None of them were hurt,” rescuers added.
